CalorieCalculator.online makes free, simple calculators that help people understand their calories, nutrition and body measurements.
What we do
Most health calculators online are slow, full of pop-ups or hard to use on a phone. We built this site to be the opposite: fast, clean and easy, with results that update as you type. Every tool works in pounds and feet or kilograms and centimeters.
How our calculators work
Our calculators use published, widely accepted formulas, including:
- Mifflin-St Jeor, Harris-Benedict and Katch-McArdle for metabolic rate
- The US Navy method for body fat
- Devine, Robinson, Miller and Hamwi for ideal body weight
- MET values from the Compendium of Physical Activities for calories burned
- US National Academies guidelines for protein and water intake

Our principles
- Free for everyone. No sign-up, no paywall. The site is supported by advertising.
- Private by design. Your details stay in your own browser. We don't ask for your name and we don't store your measurements on our servers.
- Honest about limits. Calculators give estimates, not diagnoses. We say so clearly and point you to a professional when it matters.
Editorial policy
Every guide and calculator explanation on this site follows the same standards:
- Evidence first. We base our content on peer-reviewed research and official guidance from organizations such as the CDC, NIH, USDA and the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and we list our sources at the end of each article.
- Plain language. We write for everyday readers and explain any technical term we use.
- Checked numbers. Every worked example is recalculated with the same formulas our calculators use.
- Regular updates. Each article shows the date it was last updated. When guidance changes, we update the page.
- Clear limits. Our content is educational and is not a substitute for advice from a doctor or registered dietitian.
